I just bought a 2012 mondeo, the previous own doesn't have the pin for the nav/stereo system so im unable to connect bluetooth or access any settings its greyed out. is there anyway to reset the whole thing? or could this be another problem, i think i recall seeing somewhere that if its not earthed properly it can block you out?

My old radio had issues ejecting CDs. I got a new one but when I put it in it has no sound but powers on. I tried another one and did the same thing. THe forum says it needs a code. The radio is not asking for a code. How do I get it to display "enter code"? Once I get to that, how do I get a code to use?

Hi there, A quick question you might be able to help me with! If I wanted to just get to the wiring loom/plug that goes into the back of the original stereo but not want to take the stereo out is that possible from just taking the left panel away? My son‘s girlfriend is in quandary and I think I have a solution with a DSP amplifier that comes with a wiring loom to connect to the Mini’s wiring loom, but I don’t think she or her father really want to take the whole dash apart just to get to the back of the stereo! Many thanks in advance

Really Really nice. Please ask questions in a vauxhaull forum, as this is not suited bombarding with questions how to. No you don't need to disconnect the car batter, I don't even do that when changing headlight XENON bulbs, it is just a matter of using your head like not to have the key in the ignition turning on then you will be just fine guys don't worry.

Good video, but in my R52 you could slide the two pipes down and angle them sidewards after removing the 4 main screws, which allowed me to access the small radio screws quickly as well as slide it out.

Thx for the helpful vid. Was wondering... are the screws the same spec or would you have to remember which screw goes where?

FYI for anyone having trouble: The two metal tabs on my Z4 were pushed so far up that there was absolutely no way a screwdriver could ever grab them and pull them down, let alone even touch them. After some trial and error I ended up using a lock picking tool that has a hook in it. I then maneuvered the hook up inside the plastic square where the metal clip should've been and then worked the hook around that metal clip to pull it down.
